BARH KOH ESDA MANAGEMENT

Koh Environment and Sustainable Development Aid is managed by a Board of Directors, headed by its founder and current President, Mr. Titki D. Tarassoum. A native of Chad, Titki was raised in the village of Maro in the Moyen-Chari Prefecture and had in-depth exposure to traditional agricultural resource management since early childhood. As a teenager, he was responsible for family farming and also served as a volunteer Agricultural Extension Aid for five years during summer vacations, during which time he helped disseminate information and demonstrated cultivation practices, proper methods of handling and application of herbicides as well as pesticide to local area farmers. Upon graduation from Lycée Ahmed Mangué High School in Sarh (Moyen-Chari), Titki went to the United States for undergraduate studies in Agriculture, then pursued graduate programs in Range Science with specialization in Physiological Plant Ecology and Experimental Statistics at New Mexico State University and Colorado State University.

In addition to formal education, Titki received intensive practicum in Resource Development of Watershed Lands (Arizona State University), Keys to Agricultural Development (Washington State University), and Cooperative Agricultural Extension (University of Wisconsin-Madison). His professional career included i) Research Associateship at Colorodo state University through funding from the National Science Foundation and the United States Department of Agriculture/ Agricultural Research Station, ii) some Teaching at Colorado State University and Sonoma State University, and iii) several aspects of Information Technology with such companies as State Farm Insurance Companies, IBM Global Services, Royal Bank of Canada, Moneris and TaraComp Business Solutions.

This multi-disciplinary exposure enabled Titki to gain substential understanding of resource requirements for a successful implementation of an international service agency: Barh Koh Environment and Sustainable Development Aid.

Assisting Titki are:

Darnace Torou, Vice President and CFO,, whose professional background includes a long career in foreign affairs, as well as International Cooperation and Development at the United Nations.

Brent Wills with proven professional experience in Client Relations and Project Management.

Djaounsede P. Madjiangar whose endless efforts helped the organization obtain a cooperative agreement with the Chad government, resides in Chad and is the in-Country program coordinator for all Barh Koh ESDA programs in Chad.
