The term Environment is defined as the surroundings of
an organism including the physical and chemical environment,
and other organisms with which it comes into contact. It
is most frequently used in human context, more often referring
to factors which affect our quality of life. Regardless
of how it is defined, "Environment" has a dual
role of providing materials and services to meet human needs
for food, water, employment and health, as well as functioning
to regulate conditions and quality of life for humans and
other species.
Engaging communities or population groups in the environmental-related
capacity building projects should therefore become a priority
in every society. Barh Koh ESDA will make its contribution
through its Environmental Education & Outreach project..
