Barh Koh Environment and Sustainable Development Aid (Barh Koh ESDA) is a rapidly growing Non-Profit, Non-Sectarian, Non-governmental and Apolitical, International Charitable Organization based in Toronto, Ontario. The organization was founded in June 2001 by Mr.Titki D. Tarassoum, out of concerns for the lack of sustainable environmental and development efforts, and rampant poverty throughout the country of Chad.

Barh Koh ESDA was named after a small river which runs through the Moyen-Chari Prefecture, one of the most neglected and poorest regions in southern Chad. The objects of the organization are to:

• Relieve poverty in Chad by providing clothing, school supplies food and other basic necessities
• Promote environmental programs to help preserve natural resources and to improve living conditions in the rural communities in Chad
• Promote sustainable development programs to help lift Chad out of poverty
• Promote Eco-Diversity in Ontario (Canada) for the purpose of Environmental Capacity building within the New Immigrants and Visible Minority population groups.

Barh Koh ESDA Vision is to be the model NGO by implementing effective, sensible and practical programs within the global framework, taking into consideration Fiscal responsibility, Accountability, Environmental and Socio-political factors - All integrated into coherant and innovative operational strategies for long term sustainable Development in Chad and throughout Africa.
